When I feel stuck, I take my ideas on a walk. My dog likes to help with that.
I agree with Cormac McCarthy that "books are made out of books," so I read as much as I write.
I've worked in educational publishing for twenty years.
I write and edit textbooks, lesson plans, novel study guides, games, assessments--pretty much any print or online material that is used in a classroom.
Publishers I work for include HMH, Pearson, and IXL.
I am a SCBWI member.
